This is a classic quintessentially English chocolate with a fondant centre infused with Rose and Violet. The chocolates are topped with a crystallised rose and violet petal and presented in an elegant cream rose foil blocked twelve chocolate Plastic Free box making them a lovely gift or treat for yourself.
You may have seen Diana on the Victorian episode of BBC TVs The Sweet Makers exploring the traditional method of making creams in starch beds. Our own recipe is inspired by Skuse’s Complete Confectioner 1897 edition.

This cream is not only moulded and worked into every conceivable shape, size, colour and flavour by itself, but it is used with chocolate, fruits etc, to make an endless variety of very pleasing and tasty confections”

Normally, my wife doesn’t get a look in. When she does, she goes for the Rose Creams while I sulk, having finished the Violet Creams. It’s better when we don’t share 😉
They are a regularly purchased by me eith er online or at the two shops that we are lucky enough to frequent.
If find it hard to imagine that anyone would dislike them. Go for it: order a box.

Chocolates as they used to be, but better. Strangely ‘heavy’ in apparent weight, underlining the amount of high quality ingredients. The rose ones are effectively proper (unlike the mainstream offering) Turkish delight for the discerning few, Lovely.

These chocolates are the perfect balance of chocolate to fondant. The fondant isn’t too runny and the delicate flavour isn’t overpowered by the chocolate. They are delicious. Bonus points for presentation as I love the slightly purple pink of the box … hinting of roses and violets! Well done!!

My husband gave me a box your beautiful Violet&Rose creams for Christmas and I just wanted to let you know they are sublime, he has bought many different boxes over the years and mostly they are disappointing 1 in particular from a very posh well established chocolatier we’re just vile.
They are perfection the chocolate is not bitter the fondant is not to sweet and you really taste the delicate floral notes of the flowers.
They evoke very special memories of my Mother as my Father used to buy handmade ones for my her as a rare treat and if I was very good I was given one which I still remember savouring slowly the very first time .
I now know where our chocolate gifts will be coming from from now on.
